Butter and sugar can be replaced, respectively,with buttermilk and natural sweeteners, while the use of eggs can be limited just to whites. Choosing the right recipes enables you to savour healthy desserts. Here are two tasty and easy-to-make recipes.

Chocolate Cake

Ideal at the end of dinner or as a sweet snack, this dessert is perfect for those who will not give up taste.

Ingredients:

  • 230g whole wheat flour or 00
  • 230g water
  • 160g brown sugar
  • 30g sunflower oil
  • 20g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 sachet of vanilla flavoured baking powder

Preparation
Whisk water and oil. Add the sieved flour, sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder and lastly the baking powder. Once you have obtained an even mixture pour it into a cake tin lined with greaseproof paper. Place it in the oven preheated to 180°C. The cake will be ready in 35 minutes. You can decorate it with fresh fruit or accompany the dessert with a dark chocolate fondue.

Chocolate Fondue with Fruit Skewer

This fresh and tasty delicacy is very easy to make. You just need your favourite fruit: strawberries, pineapple, melon, peach, kiwi, cherries and peaches. Cut the fruit into pieces and thread them onto a wooden skewer, separating one piece of fruit from the other with mint leaves.

Ingredients for the fondue:

  • Egg yolk
  • Cocoa powder
  • A pinch of vanilla and cinnamon
  • A pinch of stevia powder
  • Skimmed milk

Stir all the ingredients in a small pot and cook on a low flame until you obtain a smooth, thick cream.
